ROS Party a "moderate success"

We had the ROS Party Saturday. A perfect day, the weather couldn't have been better. Here are some pictures Dan Berger took (thanks, Dan!); I'll write more later -- got work to do!

1st pic: Cathy and I, just happy it's working so well.

2nd pic: Me & Stephen Beaumont, bothering Penderyn.

1st pic: the party, under the maple tree.

2nd pic: Dan "Mr. Northside Entertainment" Bengel, Larry Horwitz, and a somewhat looming Brian O'Reilly enjoy a few beers from the "Raries & Scaries" selection.

Well - you may not have gotten through as much ROS as you might have liked - but I certainly enjoyed myself :)

Thanks again to you and Cathy!

Jesus, Lew - are you going to go all Star Jones on us and announce a few months from now that you had the surgery? You're a stick, man!

Ah, Witzel, the sad truth is that I've put about 10 lbs. back on. I was looking at those pix and thinking that I've got to get back to work. Started serious rowing again last week, and after the weekend's sausage-fest, we're taking it easy.

Besides, who you calling stick, boy?

DW beat me to it. I was going to comment about your sveltness too! Or, perhaps you're instead suggesting that Dan has a magic camera :)

I vote for the sveltness too. 10 pounds or not, you're still holding your own!

Oh yeah, Penderyn looks "bothered" alright ;-) In my house we call it "oh please don't stop!)

Don't know if Lew's going to post anymore. For those of you who I don't have a mail for and don't check BA
Here's the link for all the pics.

Cheers
Dan

Seriously you look like you lost a lot of weight. Great job.

Lew, did any of the beer you had for a while get skunky???

I've got a bunch of ROS too and I'm wondering if any of it might go bad.

Lew Bryson said...

Not much skunking, Bill, but a LOT of oxidation, some so much we just dumped them. A damn shame.

Oxidation, ok, forgive the ignorance, could you expand on that please, and what styles of beer tends to oxidize.

Thanks in advance.

Not a problem, Bill! Here, go read what George DePiro has to say (no point in me re-creating the wheel):
