Cajun crustaceans in Kimberton

A plug for a friend: Station Bistro, a BYOB in Kimberton (1300 Hares Hill Rd., 610-933-1147), is staging a crawfish boil on May 22, this Thursday (and every Thursday in crawfish season (whenever the hell that is)), beginning at 11 AM and going till the final seating at 9:00. The mudbugs are flown in live from Louisiana that day, and the seasoning is the real deal, not dialed down for weenies. Get a big, heaping bowl of bright red crawfish with sides of red beans and rice, and coleslaw for $20.95.

But the best thing about this is "BYOB." Station Bistro is so close to Sly Fox you could practically hear them laughing from there: get you a growler of Pikeland Pils or Slacker Bock and go get spiced up at the Bistro. Or if you'd rather check out the new amazing Growler-Matic at Victory, well, that's not far either. The Millers, who own and cook at Station Bistro, encourage beer, they know beer, they like beer...what a pleasant change for a BYOB.

Nancy and Craig Miller have told me they are interested in doing beer tastings at Station Bistro; they are fans of Sly Fox and Victory, too.
