Down on the Ground in Chicagoland
Just checked into our hotel, about to head out for beers at Flatlander's. After that, headed for the rehearsal dinner. Nice room, beers for sale in the lobby -- we're not in PA anymore!
Ton of tequila, voluminous amounts of vodka, even gallons of gin, but not much whiskey of any kind behind the bar at The Firkin. Only Irish we saw was Jameson, Tullamore Dew, and Midleton.
Hoist one for me while you're there.

ReplyDeleteAmen to that, brother!
Oops, that was from me.
ReplyDeleteJust left Lew and Cathy, happy tummies from the Firkin -- on their way to the rehearsal.
ReplyDeleteLew, had a sample of the Metropolitan Pilsner at the Tavern (honest, it was about 3 ounces), quite tasty!
Great to meet face-to-face, a booming laugh such as yours is a delight to behold!
Ooh, the Firkin... great food, great brews, great atmosphere. Lew or Steven, do they sill have the Redbreats 12-yr whiskey available there?
