Just heard from Leigh Maida:
Resurrection Ale House is having their opening this Wednesday, starting at 5:00, at 2425 Grays Ferry Ave. Opening taps look
good (Leigh says the bottle list is lambic-heavy), especially that very appropriate keg of
Brewers Art Resurrection Ale. Wish I could make it, but I'm previously engaged. Hope to get down soon.
No Victory Brewing Company at all, some local stuff, yet would be nice to see more support for the brewers in your backyard.
ReplyDeleteNatty Bo bottles! I'll bring a pile of quarters.
ReplyDeleteLew, play down that keg. I have it on good authority that it's not 100% officially legal, if you know what I mean.
ReplyDeleteSince when is Brewers Art Resurrection "lambic"?
ReplyDeleteSandy, you realize that by making that comment, you're only making it worse, right? Besides, they've got it right upfront on their site, and it was in the e-mail they sent out.
ReplyDeleteAs for "lambic," re-read. I said the bottle list was lambic-heavy. The Resurrection is a keg.
What is not legal about it, I thought that B-A was choosing to not sell out of state, or is it a license issue?
ReplyDeleteBoth the brewery and brand have to be registered for sale in PA, and must come to the retailer through a PA-based distributor authorized (on record) by B-A as a master distributor. If they meet these criteria, then OK. If not, bad juju, and bad form by the retailer who wants to stay in business in this here repressive commonwealth.
ReplyDeleteWOW nice looking draft list!
