Hello, Burlington!
I'm in Burlington, VT for the first time in about 14 years, and this is STILL a great beer town. Funny, it's still real New England-car, too: saw a Saab 900 and a Volvo 240. Anyway, the boy and I did Vermont Pub & Brewery for lunch -- Bombay Grab IPA -- nice, not crazy -- Dogbiter Bitter -- too strong, but good -- and Cream Ale -- good iteration -- then walked down to the lake, had some laughs with the gulls. We were looking for Irish music, but on St. Pat's Day that's a fool's errand; Ri Ra was flowing out into College Street. So I went to Three Needs -- Thomas got carded out and went window-shopping while I had one beer: Session Sour, which is good: maybe a bit over session, maybe not too sour, but it's a good drink. Whew. What a week!

You MUST check out Zero Gravity Brewing just down the block from the pub and brewery in American Flatbread. Outrageous beers, always a couple cask offerings, and just all around good stuff. You won't be disappointed!
Great name for an IPA - the Bombay Grab was (a) the name of a warship in the East India Marine, and (b) the the name of the brewery tap at Hodgson's Bow Brewery, makers of the first beer to be called East India Pale Ale.
I second Zero Gravity — love the place, Paul Sayler is a great brewer, was there last July.
I want to hear about that Unibroue tour!
I did get to Flatbread: had the London Calling; good beer, couldn't stay for more -- or bigger -- had to get out to the hotel on the edge of town. Nice place, would definitely go back.
Sam...you'll have to wait, I'm selling that one!
Damn! Should have guessed.
Nuts. I was hoping someone started a good beer bar in Burlington, NJ, one I could get to by light rail.........
