Why did I post this? Because I'm not going to post every damned event that comes across my desk/monitor. I'd just like to see more beer breakfasts and beer brunches, because I've seen wheatbeer breaks in the morning in Germany, with a nice soft pretzel, and they're great. I'd like to see more of this, so...I thought I'd tell you about this one. It's real, people are doing it. Wish I could go, but I've already got commitments that day.

Mmmm, Münchner Frustück!!
It amuses me how here in Britain the expression "beer for breakfast" is sometimes used to describe the hard drinking habits of lads on a boozy holiday ... I do sometimes have a beer before lunchtime, astonishing people. It doesn't mean I'm intending to drink steadily through the day*, it's just that I don't see why a good beer (preferably with a low abv) can't be a good accompaniment to a late breakfast/brunch...
*I must admit, once or twice it has meant that...
Hey Lew
Not to change the subject too much, but I understand the Drafting Room in Exton has brunches on Sunday mornings that are pretty cool. Do they still have them? Do you know how much they cost, give or take? I've never been there, but I'm looking forward to my first trip.

Jake,
Don't know anything about the Drafting Room brunches, though I'm sure they're good. Standard Tap has a brunch that Jack Curtin speaks well of.
Woah, beer breakfast cooincidence! We are tapping our milk stout along with a breakfast buffet the same morning. It's not as involved as the one mentioned, but if you're in chicagoland......
Unfortunately, I won't be in Chicagoland! Folks, if you're wondering who Brewer A is, take a look here: http://flossmoorstation.blogspot.com/
Oh, I'm sorry Lew, I have to pan this post (remember People magazine's Picks and Pans?). I prefer the old-school late-night style of imbibing when all the freaks come out ! ;)
Not an uncommon stereotype in these parts either!

When is Flossmoor going to open a branch up north? The far Northern 'Burbs are prime for a good brewpub.
See, Rebecca, you've obviously never been to Groundhog Day morning at the G-Lodge. Believe me, it's just a different set of freaks!

The far north burbs have a good brewpub, it's called Mickey Finn's :) I work there three days a week.
Beer, not just for breakfast anymore....
Lessee, howmany times did I have beer with cold pizza at college????
Now would that count as beer for breakfast??
