Preview: Fun & Games in western PA
Three kids and a bunch of kegs at Sprague Farm & Brew Works in Venango. I drove across PA yesterday with Woody Chandler (yes, that Woody...the guy who took over my Ale Street News column for upstate PA) on the way to the beer dinner and fest in Erie, and we stopped in at Sprague and Voodoo. Good stories, good pix, good beer, but...I gotta get ready for the fest right now. Just wanted you to see how family-friendly breweries are, for now. Talk to you soon.

Lew, Just wanted to say thank you and it was a real pleasure drinking with you. The picture will be something we will talk about and remember for years to come. We all look forward to reading your thoughts on upcomming brews. I am looking forward to seeing a book on the brews of New Jersey.
Your kids were very well-behaved on the brewery tour! Thanks for letting me take their picture. (I ran into the Chisholms -- and their well-behaved children -- at Voodoo Brewery in Meadville (you know beer geeks are committed when they're touring breweries that aren't even open yet) and Sprague Farm.)
