Stephen Starr steals ideas from NYC again...his beer garden, Frankford Hall, opens today (saw it at FooBooz, so go read it there).
It's about time we got a beer garden, dammit. (Ummm...as Craig pointed out in comments, there's a beer garden at Memphis Taproom now. And I've been there, and you should go too. I feel dopey. Sorry, Brendan!)

Lew, why are you, of all people, disrepecting Spanky and his latest out-of-doors addition to the Memphis Tap Room? The beer garden at the MTR has been open for nearly a month now ...
And, to Herr Starr, I say willkommen! Bring out the mugs.
Whoops!
I could bobble this one, and do the Internet "you misunderstood me" dance...but I just screwed up. And you know, I was just there last week. Thanks, and apologies to Brendan and Leigh: I'll fix that!
What about Bube's?
Bube's is great; I did mean the 5-county area down here where I am. It's confusing to me, too.
Damn, even Scoats has a beer garden at Hop Angel. On the Philly/Montco border!
Well, yeah, but...the size of the thing, Pete! It's more like a beer windowbox. To be fair, that's really the case at Memphis, too. Starr's is a hell of a lot bigger. Had to be said.
Hulmeville?
Hey to be fair Otto's has a beer garden in Horsham Willow Grove and has for a long time.
Hulmeville's isn't open yet! Opens Saturday, just before The End Of The World.
Otto's, on the other hand...yeah, I blew that one. Crap. And that's a real garden, and I've been there, more than once. My daughter's right, my brain has holes in it.
