A Better Job Than Me

Carolyn, the librarian who writes the Pub Crawlin' blog (and does a great job of it), has been hitting upstate PA breweries: One Guy, Selin's Grove, Elk Creek, and Bavarian Barbarian, and southwest PA too: a Pittsburgh run and Red Star. Excellent write-ups, go have a look.

And people say I've got it good... Carolyn, you are livin' the life!

That's a nice site, thanks for pointing it out. It's so good to see a beer blog which - much like yours, Lew - covers the places we drink beer in as much as the beer itself.

It is good, isn't it? Beer's important, but the drinking is important too. If it were just about the beer, I could sit at home and sip in nervous solitude. That's always an open choice, of course, and sometimes it works. But the people, the place, and sometimes the journey make up a great variety of choices that I find tremendously appealing.

WOW! Thanks for the promo Lew...I am sure Carolyn will be so excited to get the *bump* from good ole' Uncle Lew.

I have to admit...I am very proud of my girl! She takes pride in the blog...and it sure shows.

Pub Crawlin' is where I found a "stealth" page about myself a while ago, thanks to something else in your blog, Lew. Duane and Carolyn are nice folks that I hope to get to know better at some point. They made the killer party, totally by happenstance, that you missed in the fall. Ideally, we will meet again in a social setting over a good beer!

That's quite a headline to live up to! Thanks for the nod of approval.

I do enjoy the beer traveling, and we've been barraged with so many good new places lately. I needed to get my tastings in before upcoming trips outside the state.

Meanwhile, I'll be keeping an eye on your blog for the best east coast beer news and information on the web!

Carolyn,

All well-earned. I've been impressed every time I checked your blog, but if it hadn't been for Sam K. tipping me off about it, I'd never have found it. I figured I'd do what I could to help spread the word. Us librarians got to help each other out, eh?
