No action at the Iron Abbey?

(Update: see below)

Since it's such a nice day, I thought I'd follow up last night's visit to the new bar in Newtown with a jaunt over to the new Iron Abbey in Horsham. I put the dogs out in the backyard and drove off. But the doors at Iron Abbey were locked, no one answered the phone, and there was no life at the steakhouse, either. Anyone know what's going on here? Are they not open for lunch, despite what their website says? Kinda pissed about having traveled over there for nothing...

Screw it. I'm going to open that new bottle of Laphroaig.

1st update: It does sound like they're not open till 4 PM. Guys...how hard is it to fix a website? You know, I just fixed this one in 40 seconds.

2nd update: I just got an e-mail from owner Rui Lucas. He apologized for the inconvenience, rather graciously. They are on reduced hours till May 1: 5 PM to 2 AM. On May 1, they will go to the full hours, opening at 11 AM thru the week.

If I had to guess, based on this thread, they don't seem to be open for lunch yet.

I'm really glad you mentioned this! My husband and I were planning on stopping there today on our way home from work. I guess we'll go to Teresa's Next Door instead. That's too bad they don't answer their phone.

I work around the corner from them and as of now, they open at 4 PM. Word is that they will be opening for lunch "soon".

That sucks Lew... Do make an effort to get back. They do a lot of things right, mostly with the beer list. They do need to get some kind of recording on their phones, though...

Lew, I was there on Tuesday with my Mom....wanted to take her to lunch. Same situation for us when we arrived....the door was locked. But just as we were getting ready to leave, the owner Danny pulled up and introduced himself and apologized about the place being closed for lunch. He indicated it was going slower than expected to hire and train sufficient staff for both the lunch and dinner hours. He gave us a "Cook's tour" of the place and invited us to come back for lunch in May when he said that it should be open for both lunch and dinner. It's quite impressive place inside. Hope they do well.

Well then they need to update their website, which clearly indicates they open at 11am every day.

Why do so many businesses find this to be either so difficult or so unnecessary.

I find it unacceptable.
