On average, a batch is on for about 4 weeks. Bob and I estimated originally it would be 3 weeks. We released it on Thursday and have sold about 40% of it already. Lucky to get through the weekend. Now people who want it for 4th of July are asking me how long it will keep in a growler!!Bob Barrar, ladies and gentlemen, Bob Barrar!

Perfect Ten going fast
Wow. You know that 10th anniversary beer at Iron Hill Media I told you about? I couldn't make it over that day, so I asked IH Big Mahoff Mark Edelson (you know, the Weekend Closer at the Hooters in Concordville?) how long he thought it would be on. Short answer: not long. Long answer:

called Media tonight, wondering if I might like to make a drive into Media either tonight or tomorrow.
not for the Perfect 10, I'm told. Or, at least not in bottles.
Growlers of it, though, will still be filled for $15.75 plus tax
So you're saying there are no bottles of this, but it's on tap? You're not quite as clear as usual...
um, yes. That's the story I was told by phone: No more bottles, draft only.
btw, just to be sure we're clear, you're saying...
I'm not being clear.....as usual?
or
I'm not being quite as clear as I usually am?
Really would like to try this beer, but can't make it over till Saturday. Hopefully it will last till then, but I'm starting to have my doubts.
I gather that despite it's obvious popularity, the brewer has no plans to make another batch or otherwise distribute it out of the brewpub (in the past I've seen some of their "one offs" and limited release stuff at the Drafting Room). Oh well...
