Cathy and I are leaving for WhiskyFest San Francisco this morning. We'll do the usual: hit a few bars, drink a few drinks, see the sights, and help put on the best whisky event in the world. More to come...

I think I previously mentioned the Firehouse Grill & Brewery in Sunnyvale, down south on the bay from San Fran. Stop in and say hi to brewmaster Steve Donohue if you find time -- his Oktoberfest is on tap and I hear it's as fine as last year's!
Tim Roberts (head brewer at Yards) won't be attending WhiskeyFest.
Hey Lew -- Steve at the Firehouse just took Silver for his Brown Porter... didn't get a side trip in, did'ja?
No, we weren't real mobile, and not a lot of free time. Just enough to get to Triple Rock on Thursday afternoon, and Friday was pretty much walking distance from the hotel (we had set-up for the Fest in the morning, and then registration from 3 PM on). Then Saturday, of course, I flew to Denver.
