More Bourbon Festival Coming Soon; sorry for the delay

I have to apologize; I did intend to blog every day when I was in Bardstown for the Kentucky Bourbon Festival. But when I went to the Java Joint to upload the two entries you've seen here so far, I couldn't get the WiFi to work. I went at it for a couple cups worth, but no luck. So I stuck the text files on a fly-drive, and took it with me. The warehouse guys at Heaven Hill were nice enough to let me use their office PC to upload them and post some comments. But after that I didn't have much motivation to keep at it; I figured I would be spending my time better by enjoying the perfect weather, the festival, and the bourbon.

So. More to come once I get home. Great time, can't wait to tell you about it.

Bardstown, Kentucky? There's WiFi there?? ;-) Blacksburg VA had analogue cellular phone service until like 2003! LOL Lew, the WiFi inside my E. Norriton, PA Starbucks store which is apparently provided "free" by T-Mobile barely works, maybe 40% of the time. I work at the store and this is comng from customer feedback. I don't have a laptop so I don't know about WiFi connection reliability but it seems not very reliable everywhere.

The WiFi in the Louisville airport worked great...for $10 a day. Can you say "Rip me off"? That is such a damned money-maker. The WiFi at the Java Joint probably worked, to be honest, and some of the problem was my four-year-old laptop. My new Dell came yesterday, and I'm typing on it now. This is gonna work much better, I can tell already.

Alright, had to find a post that at least had a bit of a thread to this question...

I'm on the prowl now for microdistilleries, since I've been reading snippets of information here and there. I know of a few in my upstate NY area (Tuthilltown, Wagner Valley)but is there a site or sites or blog that lists/reviews these microdistilleries (I've looked with somewhat limited success). I figure that if anyone knows, it would be you, Lew.
(if not, then my hopes and dreams would be dashed again...:( )
Thanks.

p.s. ya never know this could be a whole new direction for you to market yourself...:)

Yeah, well...good question, Bill. If you find such a site, let me know. I was looking at getting up to speed on it, but it looks like a full-time job, and a lot of these guys are playing it very close to their chests. It's not like the old days of microbrewing!
