C'mon Lew! Join us! It's gonna be awesome. I was there last year and it was my first Beer Fest. Amazing!

Lineup looks dreadful

Yeah, the only Bavik is that Petrus stuff...

Not one decent stout or porter on the whole list.

Lots of fruity-type "beers" though.

I'll stay away.

That's what's great about beer, glann: they make a lot more than one kind, so everyone gets what they like.

No need to make fun -- "fruity-type 'beers' -- of what others like, though. I've been made fun of for drinking stout.

Oh I have too, you haven't faced danger or ridicule until you've had a half dozen miller lite swigging mustachioed yinzers here in pittsburgh in a dive bar off carson street tell you threateningly that you're guinness stout looks like a milk shake.

Well, then: don't make fun of Belgian beers! It's all beer: some people like ones you don't. Be cool!

BTW, are you the guy who was getting the Steg Porter sixtels? Is that still working?

Okay, bub, five years running you've missed it, but at least I HAVE an excuse. What's YOUR excuse for missing it? Gotta take the Corgis to get their paws trimmed? Gotta get that arrow out of your foot before gangrene sets in? You have to help at your choir car wash? Out wi' it, mate.

Okay, Sandy, first off, tomorrow's the eighteenth Friday the Firkinteenth, and I don't think you've made one of those, so... Secondly, Max's is two and half hours away for me. And third, Saturday's my birthday, and I'm spending it with the family.

How you feeling?

Yup picked up the sixtels after a road trip to selinsgrove to sample their wonderful beer and soda and hang out with some very cool regulars (save for that poofta drinking the frambois).

tapped the first of the sixtels this week and what a treat! Cant wait to have them all kicked by the time the lieb is racked.

incidentally I dont think an observation that there are a lot of "fruity type" beers on the list is necessarily making fun of anything, or being uncool. However, since you took it that way I did want to live up to the billing with the 'poofta' comment!!

The Lass and I will be heading down for this. It's becoming our Valentine's weekend tradition. This has to be one of the most well run beer events I've ever been to. Casey does a great job.
