Guy Hagner leaving Berwick Brewing; plans to open a new One Guy Brewing

Just got this from Guy Hagner. There have been problems at the brewery; I've been silent on this because there is pending legal action, but it looks like everything's coming out in the open. I understand that Tom Clark is giving a statement to Jack Curtin; check his blog for more.

Statement from Guy Hagner, founder of One Guy Brewing Company in Berwick PA:
July 11, 2011
It is unfortunate but the business relationship with my partner [Tom Clark] has not worked out.  We have agreed that the best solution is to go our separate ways.  I am currently making plans to re-locate One Guy Brewing Company to another location in NE PA.   I am very proud of the business I founded in Berwick and am happy for the many friends I have made there over the years.   But I am also excited about beginning the next chapter of One Guy Brewing and hope to see many familiar faces as well as many new ones!

Lest it go unstated, isn't there a question about how "One Guy Brewing" is having issues related to the partnership structure?

Alan, can you take that out of lawyerese and put it in plain English? Seriously, I'm not quite sure what you're asking!

By the way, thanks for hooiking me up with Ohio Brew Week. I'm having a blast out here. Great town, great beers, great people.

I am very jealous of your Ohio Beer Week opportunity and glad to have put you in touch. If you see Melody S., say high as she was keen to have me pop over, too, but just couldn't swing it with all the kids, etc. Have a blast.

My point? I suppose I meant "one Guy Brewing" would have suggested to me a one guy operation.

Ah. Thought that might be it. Yeah, that was the reason given for the make-change.
I'll be sure to give Melody your best.

Too bad in a number of respects, but not a surprise to anyone paying attention. I hope all parties can move forward and make the best of a less than perfect situation.

Hey Pumpkin Head glad you still have a sense of humor things are not the same since we stopped talking about the evil empire and the economy and gas prices and how up-side down this Beer industry is anymore.Seems like the consumers are fed up with the high prices and the tavern and Beer distributors are dropping off every month and the wholesalers keep getting fewer and wealthier and can give a rats ass about anyone. How about the beer companies are they just a fine piece of business,if you cannot laugh anymore about the insaness that is the beer industry get the hell out Now.

I have been out of the loop for a bit and just heard this news. Terrible news really. I was a patron from the very first weekend and have always really enjoyed the beer and the atmosphere. I'd like to know more specifically if/when guy may be reopening his operation.
