As you can see, I've changed the picture at the top of the blog for the first time since I started it up 18 months ago. Not really significant of any great change in direction, just felt like changing the picture.
That's just a small change here, though; the big changes are taking place over at my long-dormant website as I start to crank up for the release of New Jersey Breweries. I've been doing some housecleaning over there this morning, and I'll be doing long-overdue guidebook updates this week.
If you have any updates that I need to get done on the PA, NY, or mid-Atlantic books, please send me an e-mail, and thanks!

Do you have a list of updates pending which are not on e.g. pabrew_updates yet, or should we be sending updates based on what's there?
Nowhere near that organized. Feel free to send whatever you notice, and thanks. I might start an "UPDATED" post here that will list them.
Looking at your PA Breweries update page has me wondering, any new news on the Pittsburgh Hofbrauhaus??
I stopped by the site for the Hofbrau last month, and there is construction work going on, so...I'm assuming it's for that.
I liked your old photo. Thought it was perfect for you. It IS about the beer, as you said. And what a place to have your photo taken. Lots of history there.
Lew, Why so gloom looking? I heard Bob and Ellie are close to a deal of the return of Hop Pocket. That Alone should bring a smile to your picture.
How about that, Mike, izzat some good news? Just hope it's for real this time. But gloomy? That's a serious look, for the serious work of blogging about beer. Hrmrmmm, serious, very serious, quite important. Yup.
And John, I liked the old photo too, but I felt it was time for a change. I've been using that one for over a year and a half, I felt like something else. It may return.
Apparently on nobody else's since there have been no comments, but the revamp has (as happened once before) created a page too wide for my computer screen, meaning a need to scroll in order to read, which is annoying an inconvenient and will discourage others with the same problem. I, of course, will make the sacrifice of time, effort and attention span, 'cause that's the kinda guy I am.
I liked the original photo a lot better as well. A LOT better...
Jack, I'm noticing the width issue too, and will fix it.
As for the photo...I wanted to change it after four years, but I found I had more pictures of you than I did of myself. Pictures of me tend not to show up on my camera. Got any pix of me you can send me?
Lew,I'll look for photos of you that might be appropriate, but feel free to post pictures of me in the meantime. Might as well build up some traffic around over there...
If you cover up the bearded part of your face in the new photo, you look just like Dustin Hoffman. Balancing a camera on his head.
Too serious.
Rich? I'm balancing a camera on my head and taking a picture of myself in a mirror, and you think I look too serious? Okay, I'll go get the greasepaint and the big red nose!
