The Marzen is not on. The Maibock will be their first seasonal, it will be tapped some time in April.

They have the Light, the Lager, the Hefe and the Dunkel.

Hot damn! I gotta get out there sooner rather than later.

Think anyone in Pittsburgh wants to buy a sixtel of One Guy beer? Then it'd be a business trip...

Shadow, thanks!

Was? Kein Starkbier?

It is that time of the year, you know?

Easy, Fireball!

I think it's mostly a "Vielen dank', Herr Gott, the doors are open!" time of year for them. Given the time they had to get beer in the tanks, I'd say waiting for starkbier is probably a good idea.
BTW, talked to Chris Brugger of Tröegs Sunday; he knows the brewer at HB Pittsburgh, says the man definitely knows what he's doing. Rock on.

I'm nothing if not traditional -- Irish beer today, Starkbier on Thursday (St. Joseph's Day)! :-)

Um, Herr Gott? Not sure if that's a proper title... :-D

hey Lew:
Thanks for the updates. Glad Hofbrau finally opened. I think we should put together a bus trip to the Burgh to see Hofbrau and Penn Brewery (if they're open). Maybe catch a Pirates game while we're there.

End of April or beginning of May?

I know a few bars out there that would buy Guy's beer, btw..

Anybody sampled the wares at the new Hofbrau? Having been the original and had the imports at the LV chapter I'm very curious to know if the domestically brewed version will satisfy my deep, deep craving for Bavarian lager.

Zum wohl and all of that.
